I feel like Harvey in American Splendor when he wakes up, saying with relief, "I got a job, I got a job. . . . "
Don't know how long it will last, but the project sounds like fun. Proofreading a book of quotes.
You know, come to think of it, I may add a quote feature to this blog. Could be fun.

When I was working as an editor, my favorite project was a book of quotes/anecdotes. It's a lot easier to edit something that's interesting or entertaining.
The worst was a dissertation on some programming code. My eyes ache just thinking about it.
You've got a job and you've got a place on a course that only takes 10 people a year: that's skill.
And you've got a whole bunch of people rooting for you. That only happens to nice people. Go freddie!
Do you still do any work as an editor, kiersten?
Thank you, fairyhedgehog!
Maybe someday my work will take me to England and we can get together for a cuppa.
I'd really love that, freddie. You need to be sent to the South East, just South and West of London. Then you'll be well-placed to pop in for a nice English cup of tea.
Sounds great. I habe some books of quotes - they can be wonderful.
Enjoy the work!
Thanks, Robin!
