What Book I Am

I saw this on fairtyhedgehog's blog and took the quiz:

You're The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe!

by C.S. Lewis

You were just looking for some decent clothes when everything changed
quite dramatically. For the better or for the worse, it is still hard to tell. Now it
seems like winter will never end and you feel cursed. Soon there will be an epic
struggle between two forces in your life and you are very concerned about a betrayal
that could turn the balance. If this makes it sound like you're re-enacting Christian
theological events, that may or may not be coincidence. When in doubt, put your trust
in zoo animals.

Take the Book Quiz
at the Blue Pyramid.

This is amusing because this was my favorite book as a kid.

My favourite in the series was The Magician's Nephew, because I read that first. I was drawn in by the "Magician" in the title.

"The Lion, the Witch" has a lovely cover. Quite nice to be that book! Did you try giving different answers to see what other books you could be?

Stacy said...

I did. Some other answers I got were Vonnegut's Mother Night, Steinbeck's The Grapes of Wrath, and Adams's Watership Down.

What else did you get?

I can't remember them all now, because I tried every possible answer to see what the questions were and where they were leading!

I know that there were 3 Lord of the Rings books, and The Hitchhikers Guide. I suppose they were the ones that appealed to me.

I just took it. I'm Love in the Time of Cholera. I took it a few other times - got The Guns of August (that was a really good book), and then I got Lolita when I answered to the "are you young or old" question, "young" - just to see what would happen.

Fun!

It is fun, isn't it?

I'm Love In The Time Of Cholera too — or Indoor Basketball For The Socially Inept Octogenarian.

Hi freddie :) Did you delete your latest post? I wanted to reply to it but it's not there.

Stacy said...

Yeah . . . sorry. I have a bad habit of writing posts, publishing, and then deleting them. I'm too easily embarrassed, I guess.

But I'm going to add another post (which I will NOT delete) with a link to JK Rowling's speech, if you want to see it.

Feel free to respond here, though.

It's just you sounded a bit down and I was all set to be supportive!

The trouble with RSS feeds is that your words are preserved even if you delete. In my case it's mostly typos that I kick myself about afterwords.

Stacy said...

Oh, thank you! Any support is appreciated.

I guess I'll have to watch my P's & Q's in the future, then, eh?

I don't mind if it gets left up in the RSS feeds. Ah well.

BTW, I helped a friend put some furniture together yesterday, and that cheered me up. Something about building things makes me feel better. Just the pick-me-up I needed.

But I won't delete any more posts and confuse you.

Just to say, I caught that post too and wanted to respond.
