Favorite Movie

What's your favorite movie? Any genre, any length . . . anything you like.

Mine used to be Tombstone for Val Kilmer's performance as Doc Holiday. (Or it could have been that at the time, that was the only movie I owned. But I loved it still.)

These days it's hard to choose. I suppose I'll have to go with Lord of the Rings. To narrow it down even further, I'm gonna have to go with the Fellowship. There's something about a new beginning that brings hope.

For a very long time it was Robin Hood: Men in Tights.

OK, I admit it. I'm not an intellectual.

Robin Hood: Men in Tights is hilarious!

Nor am I, FHH, nor am I.

Oh, this is tough. The movie I watch most frequently right now is the last "Pride and Prejudice" with Keira Knightly. I love the cinematography and music; it's a great background movie.

Favorite movie though, I don't know.

I can't name an absolute favorite - it depends on my mood. I agree with Men in Tights - that was a freaking hoot.

I love everything from some of the old Kames Bond movies to The Constant Gardener.

I feel the same way about all the LOTR movies, K. Great background movies. I pop them on for the music, too. It's sort of my pipe dream to compose for a film like one of these.

Never did see the Constant Gardner. I may pop that in sometime before school starts.

There are so many good ones. I think The Terminator held that honor for a long time, but has been surpassed by Miyazaki's Spirited Away.

For comedies, A Fish Called Wanda. But I love Kevin Kostner's version of Robin Hood because that horrible American accent and bad acting were totally hilarious. And also for *slurp* Alan Rickman as the bad Sheriff. You have to admit, that trying to consummate the marriage scene is funny as hell.

Alan Rickman was the best part about Costner's Robin Hood.

My favorite comedy is probably Love Actually.
