THIS is the mess Gatsby made of the plant I brought home from a friend's. (She had too many and gave one to me.) Gatsby climbed up to a high windowsill (where I was sure he couldn't reach), knocked the plant down, ripped it out by its roots, and ate its leaves as if the plant had done him some grievous offense.
I'm always amazed at how much cats crave vegetation. I thought they were supposed to be carnivores.

What a mess! I thought my cats were bad enough with the spider plants, but this is worse.
Cats are contrary eaters. My two have just turned down fresh salmon in favour of cat food.

I've come to the mind that "if it annoys us, they will probably eat it."
We have a half-wall between our kitchen and living room (eight feet high below a vaulted ceiling). I put my castle collection up there for my viewing enjoyment. Firestar found his way up there and knocked three of them down, damaging two. Now they're in their boxes - for no one's viewing pleasure.
Oh, Freddie.
Is it all right if my cat, Firestar, invites your cat, Gatsby, to visit his blog? If so, I'll give you the link.
Sure, send it along. I generally don't let Gatsby online, as when he is, he immediately starts surfing for porn sites, but in this case I'll make an exception. ; )
I'm sure they could swap war stories.
Hmm. Porn sites, huh?
Well, thus far I have been able to keep Firestar porn free. However, his site is called Cat in the Buff.
NOTE: FH showed me how to create a link in a comment. Thanks, Fairy. It worked! Wow.
I have similar problems with an ornamental cactus.
Whirl Your ornamental cactus eats plants and knocks things over?
FH showed me how to create a link in a comment.
How do you create a link in the comment? I can never remember the HTML.
So your ornamental cactus is omnivorous, Whirl? Or carnivorous? Or simply determined to make a mess of your life, like Gatsby?
[a href=http://thiscoollinkIfound.com]The words you want in the link[/a] only you use < and > instead of [ and ].
