My problem is that my stories are sometimes so vague when I start, I can't research until I actually start the story. If I'm not careful, I'll let it crash and burn before I finish.
I love reading nonfiction. I guess I just don't like slapping the word 'research' on it, because it just reminds me of the word 'work.' And I don't like reading sections of books to find just the little niglet of info that I need, unless I've already read the book in question. Don't know if any of that makes sense.
You've said what we all do know, and don't like to admit, or think about.
One of the many reasons you will proceed to kick major butt in your graduate program. Your music will make us sob from places deep down inside us, because it will take us to places we don't want to admit exist.

Hey freddie,
I love your tags - especially this set -- "avoidance". Yeah. I live the dream right there with ya.
That's a good point, freddie.
Writing avoidance method #1 for me: Give me a new idea to ponder or research. I adore that stage!
Goes to show we are all different.

Honey, it all makes sense.

I look forward to saying....'I know her.'
*blushes furiously*
Thank you, Robin. That means a lot to me.
I meant it.
So did I.
BTW, I'm finally working on that haunted house story again. Coming along, it is.
Cool. I liked that - how it read, and the idea behind it.
