Thanks, Fairy! These are actually shots I got with my phone camera, and I could NOT tell whether I was aiming well. Sun in my eyes, etc. I'm pleased with how they turned out.
EXCEPT, the quality is not all that sharp, and as Kitty pointed out, everything looks caked in chalk. I do kind of like that effect, though. That portion of the drive felt rather mystical, and I hope the pics capture that.

That is what I call mystical!! Wow.
I remember the first time I ever saw a "petrified tree" - it was this stump and I felt very sorry for it!
I love that everything looks caked in chalk! I love that lone bird - there is life there but not as we know it..!!
