When It Turns

So D STILL hasn't found a roommate, and the landlord is ready to sign another renter, and D is in a panic. My excitement has turned to sheer guilt. : (

If anyone knows anyone in Chicago who's looking for a place, contact me. Please!!

My wife knows some people in Chicago. I'm sending her this link.

Any details on part of town?

Things didn't go at all well yesterday. D and I walked around the neighborhood looking at renter signs, and the vast majority of them said "No Pets." (He's keeping the cats.) At the very least he wants to stay in this neighborhood, but yesterday was discouraging.

He does have a couple of leads. We'll see if one of those pans out.

Things have taken a turn for the better. Though our landlord has, as far as I know, signed a different renter to live here beginning in October, D has redoubled his efforts to look for a new apartment. He also met someone with whom he really hit it off roommate-wise. So they filled out the paperwork for a place yesterday, one which is bigger and cheaper than here. He brought her here yesterday and I met her, and she seems really cool.

Meanwhile, I'm trying to get my shit together to move. : ) Not nearly as packed as I need to be.

Glad it's working out, even if harried.
