Better

Orson, dog eared.

A bad pic of the sick cat. His ear has been drained twice, and the hematoma came back a third time, but today it seems to be receding. He'll always have that floppy ear now, and I think he actually looks cuter for it. The arthritis supplement is helping him move, but he still needs to lose weight.

I'm still crazy with this yoga thing. Even got up at 6 a.m. on a Saturday morning to make the 7:30 a.m. class because I had to work. I'm not sure I can describe the ways in which my life, my mindset, has changed. It's not just that work seems to be going better, or that I have more energy, or that I'm writing and making art again. It's like I'm coming unstuck and I actually feel like I'm living again, instead of just existing, which feels strange and new, almost like I've been given a magic elixir with unknown properties. I didn't expect changes this quickly. I just . . . I have goals again.

Ah, I'm gushing. Tell me what you do to get unstuck.

Awwwww it's a lovely post and Orson is just adorable!! It's great to see him - his ear all floppy like that adds character (so long as it's all healed and ok now!!!!). Thanks for sharing a pic of him and for the updates - he's perfect!

I think it's brilliant that you are in a state of peace and equilibrium. You have clarity of thought and your life is for living again - yay!! Onwards and upwards for you!! Take care

To the both of you moving forward!

Whatever works is wonderful. Glad to hear he's healing and you're creating.

The cat looks like he needs the Yoga more than you.

I'm glad you're doing so amazingly well - and it's all down to your determination and stickability! Go Stacy!

It's good that Orson is getting better too. He's definitely a bit on the pudgy side! Our Bonnie has been put on an anti-allergy diet and I think she'll lose some weight because she doesn't pig herself on it like she did her other food.

Thanks, Kitty. I think he's adorable, too.

Thanks, Sarah!

Whirl, he does a lot of Downward Dog poses. Does that count?

He is a bit on the pudgy side, Fairy. Thirteen pounds. But I'm hoping the arthritis supplement will help in making him more active. I think one of the reasons he looks so pudgy on his sides is that he has so much muscle loss in his hips and back legs.
