But consider this: Since then, I've been getting these seemingly random, eerie text messages that say things like, "Your word of the day is nocuuous. It means harmful, noxious. 4 help 1800 blah-blah-blah." I've received a total of three of these now, and they all are either definitions of awful words, or random info about how children are no longer learning the Latin language, thereby implying Armageddon is soon at hand.
There's a short story in here somewhere, I just know it. I shall save these and post as they come in.

I believe you agreed to a monthly fee by agreeing to the cell phone thing, so you should check and unsubscribe if you have been billed for something.
I don't have a cell phone so I never got past the insistance I give out my number to receive a text message; but a friend told me about the fee.
No, I've not been charged anything. I opted out of that as soon as I gave the number.
Strange....
Sorry it's taken me this long to linky love, but I'm gearing up for a summer of blogging fun!
:-)
I'll be back much more. (I'm Ellicott City over on your mind-reading sidebar)
:-)
Short story - cool idea.
But I'd still be watching for something re a company or entity having your cell number, girl.
I should probably check again on my phone bill, but I think it's fine. And these texts are so creepy yet amusing they'd almost be worth the charge. Almost, but not quite. I could get a friend to do this . . .
Weird. Very weird.
Hey Chris - I've updated your link, too. : )
